Need something to do tonight? Make some last minute plans and head to Highland, Ill., to attend the Racial Unity Celebration in Song concert at Highland Hope United Methodist Church.

In honor of African American History Month, the concert will feature Dello Thedford and the Gospel Symphonic Choir from the Greater Saint Louis area.

Teacher, arranger, noted composer and conductor extraordinaire, Dello Thedford currently serves as minister of music at Shalom Church, City of Peace. He has to his credit positions of adjunct professor of music for the University of Missouri in St. Louis, vocal coach for the theater program at Southern Illinois University, East St. Louis Campus, music director of the Personna Players and chairman of the music department at Roosevelt High School.

A love offering will be taken, and there will be a potluck dinner following the concert. I invite you to join us for this special celebration.

Concert was AMAZING! Wow; just powerful. There is no way anyone could have walked out of that church feeling down. The songs, the voices, the message…very uplifting.PTL!
