Writing cover letters and resumes and preparing for job interviews can sometimes be as scary as flying monkeys! Fortunately for PRSSA members, Angela Shultis from O’Connor & Partners, Inc., provided some great tips to help ease those fears at last night’s PRSSA meeting. Some of those same tips are echoed in this article that I read this morning from Tania Khadder from Excel.com. Take a look and then test your knowledge with the “Will You Ace that Interview” quiz at the end of the article.
At next month’s PRSSA meeting, Angela will host a workshop on professionalism and “how to work a room.” This workshop was offered to PRSSA members last year and is back by popular demand! Whether you are about to graduate or just beginning your college coursework, this workshop offers some valuable tips and tricks that you won’t want to miss.
PRSSA members will also be electing new chapter officers at next month’s meeting. Nominations are now being accepted for the offices of president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and web master. If you would like more information about any of these positions, please contact me or one of the current PRSSA officers.
Hope to see you there – March 14 at 6 p.m. in the Missouri room!
